About

Every day I seek attentively the balance between the opposites, counterbalancing Yin and Yang. Being born a Libran (on the 16th of October 1980) was a challenge, which brought me onto this path, leading to happiness in my current profession as a Massage Therapist and Yoga teacher.

I was never satisfied by excellently passed exams, titles like Medical Massage Therapist with Confederate Certificate, many further educations in medical and spiritual topics. Yet simplicity and the work with my clients does indeed make me happy. And this joy, this happiness, this inner smile I want to live and pass on.

Nuad Thai – Traditional Thai Massage

Is a pressure point massage, which releases energy blockages, boosts blood circulation and stimulates the lymphatic flow. Through the activation of inner organs and metabolism, this massage leads to a deep relaxation and regeneration.

This massage is carried out in loose fitting clothes on the floor. It is recommended by physical and mental exhaustion, muscular tension, head-and neck pain, insomnia, indigestion, depression and listlessness (fatigue).

The word Hatha is a construct of the words “ha” (meaning sun/masculine energy) and “tha” (moon/feminine principal), both of which inhabit ones body. Hatha Yoga leads with specifically aimed exercises and breathing techniques to quietness and serenity on all levels.

Hatha Yoga is based on an over 4000 years old teaching, rooted in India. Through certain body postures, the so-called Asanas, the ever bouncing part of our mind is stilled.

Yin Yoga fosters stretching of the connective tissue, ligaments and tendons, increases flexibility and also relaxation.

It teaches to endure a situation and calm down. Through holding the postures longer, the Meridians get stimulated. Blockages from our very Yang oriented lifestyles – constant activity and stress – get balanced.

Yin Yoga is a deliciously deep and mindful practice in which floor-based postures are held for 3-5 minutes. This allows the body to slowly stretch and unwind. Knots in muscle fibres may release and energy can flow freely throughout the body. You might find yourself feeling ‘lifted’ and ‘light’ after a Yin Yoga class. By staying we can enable stillness to arrive in the physical body. Through this stilling we create a space to witness the sensations in the body and fluctuations of mind, emotions and breath.

Yin Yoga can affect us positively, benefits might include:

  • Increases mobility and flexibility, especially in hips, sacrum and spine
  • Strengthening and lubrication of joints
  • Lowered stress levels
  • Balanced energy levels
  • Increased health of connective tissue and joints
  • Deeper relaxation and improved mediation
